Speak Vermont works to help Vermont parents and community members identify and understand policies, practices, and incidents affecting students, parental rights, educational transparency, and fairness in our schools.
If you have encountered a concerning incident, school policy, classroom practice, instructional resource, or communication from a Vermont school, you may use the form below to bring it to our attention.
What Can You Report?
You may submit information concerning:
- School policies or practices that exclude parents from important decisions involving their children
- Instructional materials or classroom activities that parents believe deserve public review
- Policies involving student privacy, names, pronouns, gender identity, or access to sex-specific facilities and activities
- Practices that treat students differently based on race, ethnicity, sex, religion, disability, or viewpoint
- Restrictions on speech, expression, religious liberty, or open discussion
- School communications, training materials, surveys, assignments, or administrative directives that raise concerns
- Other incidents involving parental rights, educational transparency, student welfare, or accountability in Vermont schools
Whenever possible, please provide supporting documentation, such as a school policy, letter, email, meeting notice, curriculum document, screenshot, public webpage, or other relevant material.
Please Protect Student Privacy
Do not include the name of a minor, a student identification number, medical information, confidential educational records, or other information that could identify an individual student. Documents should be reviewed and, when necessary, redacted before they are uploaded.
You may identify yourself so that Speak Vermont can contact you with questions, but your name will not be published or shared publicly without your permission.

Legal filing deadlines may apply, and submitting information to Speak Vermont does not pause or extend those deadlines.
Speak Vermont may review, investigate, summarize, publish, or otherwise respond to submitted information when it relates to our mission. Submission of a report does not obligate Speak Vermont to investigate, publish, respond, or take any particular action.
